Unleash @ OIW with breaking news: BI student group co-organizer of the event

BISO Web3 Society is the fastest growing student society at BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo

A student group from BI is becoming a co-organizer at the Unleash event

On Tuesday, 26th September, Kaupr is organizing its own conference, Unleash, for the first time, taking place during Oslo Innovation Week. Kaupr is now also collaborating with BISO Web3 Society, which will participate as a co-organizer of the event.

BISO Web3 Society is one of over 70 student committees at BISO Oslo, which is the BI Student Organization at BI Norwegian Business School, Oslo. The Unleash event is a part of Oslo Innovation Week, which takes place from September 25th to 29th, 2023.

Proud and happy

This is possibly the first time that a student committee has such a central role in such an important event as Oslo Innovation Week. - We are very proud and happy that Morten Myrstad in Kaupr has invited us to participate, and we are looking forward to the event itself, says Jonas Morshedy (t.h. )and Sebastian Stehlik, respectively incoming and outgoing leaders of BISO Web3 Society.

Fastest growing society

We at Kaupr have previously written an article about the student group, which is one of the fastest-growing student committees at BI in Oslo, and now has over 150 members. In the spring of 2023, the group has organized five events where they have invited external web3 experts as guest lecturers.

Shared vison

Morshedy, supported by Stehlik, justifies the student committee's role as a co-organizer at Unleash as follows: "We share the same fundamental perspective as Kaupr, believing that technologies like web3, artificial intelligence, and AR/VR will shape the future of the internet. We also consider it crucial to build knowledge and share information about these technologies so that we, as students, leaders, and employees in the business sector, are as well-prepared for these changes as possible."

The student group has already been included in Kaupr's preparations for Oslo Innovation Week and will play an active role before and during the actual event, both as co-organizers and as part of the program.

The initiator behind the student group at BI (Norwegian business school) has been Sebastian Stehlik, who has now begun his professional career. Jonas Morshedy, on the other hand, has several more years ahead at BI, where he is studying entrepreneurship. Despite that, he has already accumulated substantial knowledge and experience, both as an entrepreneur in his own startup and as a network builder and CEO at Start Oslo.

Grow and engage

“The primary goal of the new board will be to increase the number of members and engage them, both among students starting this fall and among the existing student body. Going forward, we will also focus more on collaborating with the business community”, says Morshedy.

The other members of the new board, in addition to Jonas Morshedy are: Isabella Della Spina, Hubert Grzyb, Võ Nguyên Hạnh, Oskar Kjonerud-Waage and Sofía Blanco.
